the equation goes as such: make up + girl can make a very hot girl. a hot girl who is smart..is well, impossible. OF COURSE THIS EQUATION MAKES NO SENSE and is FALSE. however, this is how a lot of people think...
why should a girl have to choose between her looks or her education..it's not that hard to do both. at work the other day, i swear, i think my manager thinks i'm dumb. he comes up to me..and sarcastically goes.."no photoshoot today?" and i'm like HAHA..no. then my other friend walks by..and he comes up to me later and goes "that young man is incredibly intelligent, INCREDIBLY" then i think to myself, what was the point of that? was he inferring something? why did he have to make a point to ME about this? i know what you're thinking, kim, you're overthinking this. BUT i'm ALMOST positive a lot of people think the hostess is some dumb girl who just sits there and smiles. ...well that is all we do but it doesn't mean we lack in the IQ section, it's just that we don't have the opportunity to write math equations or diagnose medical problems. our job is to sit there and greet people. dumb i know, but that's what i got hired as, not some doctor. why does this matter? WELL it matters to me because education is the one thing i pride myself on. i'm more then just a smile. and i'm more then just a look. i can name all the bones in your body, i can play the guitar, i play sports, i'm more then what you can see in the exterior...and the sad part is..no one on the street would even know. being a dumb pretty chick is everything i don't want to be..except for the pretty part. haha. i don't spend hours and hours prepping to get to class, i don't skip class to go shopping. i pride myself with knowledge, not how to do makeup. anyways that's my rant for the day.
